Access to the powerful and transforming message of music requires a certain pedagogy that has not always been adequate. Unfortunately, it happens very often that the approach to music education in schools and even in conservatories is not correct. As a consequence, much of the younger and not so young population, don’t feel any great affinity for music. They consider it distant, incomprehensible and belonging to weird or boring people. Others may harbour the suspicion that music is a fascinating and rewarding world, but they seem to lack the key essentials to access it. They do not know how to approach great musical creations, and soon give up with the bitter feeling that they won’t ever be able to enjoy them.

Written in a close and friendly register – far from academic erudition and insubstantial disclosure- Music to Read is a guide to begin, deepen and grow to love –up to addiction- the world of great music.
