Meditating Management asks many questions yet does not necessarily pursue to give any answers, certainly not standard answers. Rather, it suggests that those of us looking to see “one step further” should be more than ready to start a journey leading to a better perspective on our work and lives; a better view of the true sense and meaning of what we do and who we are. It is a timely book, because in our turbulent times, we all need solid truths that anchor us to the everlasting importance of values and principles, not only in our professional careers, but in our personal development as human beings too.

Ventura Ruperti has been a business consultant for more than fifteen years as a member of INEO Corporate, a strategic assessment firm with offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Bogotá and Santiago de Chile. He currently lives in Spain, having also lived and worked in Canada, Germany and Mexico holding positions such as Marketing Director, Director of Sales, International Director and General Director in multinational groups of sectors as diverse as food, consumer electronics, publishing and editing. Holding a degree and MBA from ESADE, he has been a post-graduate professor at the University of Barcelona. He holds seminars and conferences and occasionally is requested as management coach. A co-author of several books, investor and founding member of various start-ups and a member of several administrative boards.

Jordi Nadal was born in Lliçà d’Amunt (Barcelona) in 1962 and holds a degree in Germanic Studies from the University of Barcelona. In 1998 he completed his studies in Stanford Professional Publishing Course.
He began his career at Vicens Vives and continued at Herder (Germany). Among other positions, he has been director of EDHASA, editorial and publications director of Círculo de Lectores, consultant at Random House in New York, general director of corporate development for Spain and America at Grupo Plaza & Janés and assistant director at Ediciones Paidós, as well as Deputy General Manager at Planeta Agostini Profesional and Formación.

He is co-author of the book Meditando el Management… y la vida (Planeta, 2007, Plataforma Editorial, 2012) and Libros o velocidad. Reflexiones sobre el oficio editorial (Fondo de Cultura Económica, Madrid and Mexico, 2005), and author of Todo tan cerca (Poliedro, 2005) (translated into 6 languagues), El paraíso interior (Plataforma, Editorial, 2011), Todo lo que tengo es el silencio (Estrella, 2020), Libroterapia (Plataforma, 2020) and La invención de la bicicleta (Plataforma, 2020).
