Pedro Nueno s a technical architect, industrial engineer, and holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Harvard University. He was the founder and is currently the honorary chairman of CEIBS (with campuses in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Accra, and Zurich), a leading business school in Asia. For six years (2005–2011), he served on the Visiting Committee of Harvard Business School. He is the founder of Finaves, a venture capital fund based at IESE that has supported more than 40 companies, creating over 3,000 direct jobs.
He has received numerous honors, including the Creu de Sant Jordi from the Government of Catalonia (2003), the Silver Magnolia and Gold Magnolia from the Shanghai Municipal Government (2007), the Friendship Award from the Government of China (2009), the Outstanding Contribution Award from the Government of China (2014), and the Encomienda de Número of the Order of Isabella the Catholic from the Kingdom of Spain (2015). He is also the author of twenty-two books, including *Gracias, China* (2017), *Jubilado. What Now? (2018), and Self-Deception and Business (2019), all three published by Plataforma Editorial.
