- Àlex Crivillé is one of the main icons of high-speed Spanish motorbike racing. World Champion in 125cc in 1989, coming from the rear-end of already legendary names, he was the first to obtain the great challenge of winning the crown of the world speed championship and ending the over-riding dominance of anglo-saxon motorbike riders. World Champion of 500cc in 1999, he was involved in one of the toughest duels in the history of motor-cycle racing with Mick Doohan, managing to defeat him and gain the world championship crown.
